Straight answers
How much does hardwood floor refinishing cost?
Refinishing in the Rockford area typically runs $3–$5 per square foot depending on wood condition, stain choice, and finish coats — most homes land between $900 and $2,500. Your in-home estimate is free, and the written quote is exact.
How long will my project take?
Most refinishing takes 2–3 days and most installations 1–3 days. Light foot traffic is fine within 24 hours of the final coat, and full use resumes in 3–5 days once the finish cures. You'll get a clear timeline in your written estimate.
Will sanding cover my house in dust?
No. Our professional dustless sanding systems capture 99% of dust at the source — your home stays clean, your HVAC stays protected, and there's no post-project cleanup marathon.
Can my floors be refinished, or do they need replacement?
Most hardwood floors can be refinished 3–5 times over their lifetime. We check wood thickness and condition during your free estimate and tell you honestly which option makes sense — even when the answer is the cheaper one.
Are you licensed and insured?
Fully licensed and insured in Illinois, with general liability coverage on every job we perform. Proof is available any time — just ask.
